Hey all. I had a professional fix a 2x3 hole in my ceiling. The ceiling is plaster with an uneven finish similar to a popcorn, but very sporadic texture. It looked very much like a patch before we painted the ceiling, but I figured I'd see what it looked like afterward. It still looks very much like a patched hole. Not terribly ugly, but you can see it very clearly when you look at the ceiling. Is this normal? IS there any way to have the ceiling just look like one surface, short of tearing it down and drywalling the whole thing?
