What stain is this?

Hey!

Is there anyone out there who can help me identify a good stain or stain combination to achieve this look? I will be staining pine.

The wood you show looks to be Black Walnut. That is how that wood looks with a clear semi gloss finish. To get that look on pine will be hard to do but start with a Black Walnut stain and practice on some scrap wood. A good paint store will dab samples of stain on for you and will even mix them to get the match you want.

My best guess would be Minwax Special Walnut. Hard to tell without seeing the piece in person. As Bud noted, a good paint store will be able to assist you better. Ask them about using a stain controller prior to staining.
