Hi

I have tilt-in double windows with the top window not staying up. I have identified that one of the balance pivot shoes is too low but the type of device in the sill is not one I can identify on the web and I cannot figure out how to loosen it to move it.

I have attached 2 photos - 1 of piece extending from the window and one of the piece in the sill.

I would grateful for info on how to adjust the piece in the sill so I can level it with the other one to get the window to stay up.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric and Welcome to the forum.

I don’t have an answer for you as most of my windows have a DIY stick under them to help hold them up also.

I will give your post a bump and others will be along hopefully to help.

I agree. I would use one stick on each side.
