Wire stripper

So I'm in need of a wire stripper. I went to the hardware store and bought one. Yes, very impulsive, I know. I'm doing everything backwards. So, I'm asking, is the wire stripper I bought good or not? I'm going to start buying tools and I don't want crap. I am willing to pay whatever it costs--within reason--if that means I'm buying quality. I want tools that are good and that are going to last and not just something cheap that gets me out of the problem once.

That said, this is what I bought:

Gardner Bender GST-70M

It's not a problem to return these. The store is across from my work. If there is a better tool to be had, I can return this one and get what's recommended.

That's a good multi-purpose tool because it strips, crimps, threads and cuts.

I have that type great in the tool belt as it has lots of functions as mentioned. I also have this type and it cuts the insulation and also pulls it off all in one motion. If you are doing a lot of stripping this is really fast.
