is it possible to replace just the threashold on an entrance door? The door is newer (steel) than the 100 year-old house. Current T.H. is plastic and broken and I really don't want to replace the entire door right now.

Any benefit to putting up plastic over the insulation before hanging dry wall? Aside from time and minimal cost, any drawbacks? The insulation does have a moisture barrier, but someone told be that covering it with plastic is a good idea, especially in a high moisture area, like a bathroom...

What kind of wasps are they? Some wasps, like paper wasps, are pretty passive and won't bother you. They are also considered beneficial insects and feed on insects that cause you more problems.

I have the same problem with the neighbor's cat(s). I tried talking to them about it, but they insisted their cats can't possibly stay inside all the time; besides, I was told, they don't ever leave their yard. Sure they don't... Good luck with any homemade deterrents or even some store...

Finally the snow is gone and the garden has been looked over a bit. The soil looks good and black and the earth worms look plentiful. 2007 will only be the 5th year that this spot has been gardened. I'm happy with the way the soil has been improved from the original clay to the richer...

These are looking good! At least 90% of them are up, some only 1/2", some 4". All are green and healthy. Could be a good year for garlc! As for the '06 harvest, I think we are down to the last 3 or 4 bulbs. Next year we won't give so many away...
