The original flex duct insulation has split in many of the sections and some are actually leaking.

I need to replace the flex duct in my crawl space and looking for any helpful info I can get. What R value? The more the better? When to use foil tape vs mastic? Should I replace the insulation wrapped around the plenum? Thanks for your feedback!

I recently had a sun room constructed over a newly poured raised concrete slab. The concrete has a lightly brushed surface. I want to retain the lightly roughened surface of the concrete. Is there a type of concrete coating (stain/sealer, paint or epoxy) that would not result in a smooth finish?

Sounds like a slab foundation would be the way to go but then I would be concerned about addressing any potential plumbing issues in the future.

Hi Jeff, I described the problem incorrectly. The dryer drys at a high temp even when the temp selector is set to a low temp.

My GE dryer (model DBXR463ED2WW) drys at a high temp even when the temp selector is set to a low temp. Is this a thermostat prob? I have searched and found a high limit thermo and cycling thermo. Do I need to replace both of just one or is this prob from something all together different? Thanks...

Have not done the dye test yet but plan to. I did use the clip to attach the refill tube to the overflow pipe so no siphoning is taking place.

Are you referring to adjusting the height of the fill value unit vertically? I have it mounted so that the ring is at least 1 inch above the overflow pipe per the instructions.
