ok, thanks again, the link I had on this website is adhesive/grout, all in one, maybe its best I use the proper stuff? thought this would be an easier product to use as they advertise it as both adhesive and grout.

    Ceramic tile in the bathroom

Thanks for the advice guys, I think I have a plan, I will try to find maybe a thin (1/4" or 3/8") piece of plywood - drill a hole or two in it and try to epoxy glue it around the hole. Then I will glue a piece of drywall to that as my backing then even things out with maybe some drywall...

    Ceramic tile in the bathroom

So once the plywood backing is glued in place covering the hole, would I still try to cut a piece of drywall and screw it ontop of that? or do I use a thick layer of tile adhesive ontop of the plywood and put the new tile back? I still do have a small gap that is behind the drywall, as it is...

    Ceramic tile in the bathroom

Thanks for the advice, I do have about a 1/2" gap behind the current drywall and where the 2x4 is... instead of using a first piece of drywall, would using some sort of plywood be better? maybe cut a 18x18 piece and screw that onto the 2x4 first? but I guess that still wouldn't solve my...

    Ceramic tile in the bathroom

    Plumbing drain advice need

Ok, after many excuses to delay this project, I decided yesterday just to go an do it. Well, a couple of things I had to do, I had to knock out the plug out of the garburator so I could connect the hose, which meant I had to take the garburator out, which actually was easier than I thought...

any kitchen faucet brands to avoid?

I agree, I have had good luck with Delta, when I had a leak in my bathroom faucet, i brought the parts into one of the bigger retailers and they actually gave me a free replacement. I was very happy about that.... of course the smaller plumbing shops were charging $100 bucks for the same item...

    Plumbing drain advice need

The sink is in an island in my kitchen, both appear to go downstairs. I am not really sure what #5 is yet! Where should the dishwasher line on Pipe 4 be hooked up to? should I be redoing that as well?

    Plumbing drain advice need

One other question, if i can reconfigure this, I would eliminate the angle coming out of the garburator, so it would be straight, and I would pipe that to the drain from #1 (going down), do i need the one joint that is above Joint #3? that is the joint with the spout pointing up.... Then from...

    Plumbing drain advice need

Thanks. I assume pipe #4 is the sewage line. I have no clue what pipe #5 is. i assume it's another sewage line, but nothing is visibly connected to this. The little spout that points up, which is the spout just to the right and up of #4 is where the water overflows from and drips down - how...
