Our kitchen a laminate that is meant to look like tiles. It has several spots where the lock tabs are broken so it doesn't stay together. The gamble comes in because there are 3/4" hardwoods under it but. I'm unsure of
the condition.
Would it be worth the time to remove the laminate and take a...
It is the closest bathroom to the two bedrooms. The full bath for the house is down the hall next to our family room. I also meant to say 3/4 bath, as the plan was to just put in a shower w/o a tub.
Was in the process of redoing a old bathroom when we found out we will be relocating in a couple months. Project isn't very far yet so I have the decision of finishing the very small full bath or just doing a powder room in the same space. Its only about 25 sq ft. Which would be more appealing...
I'm getting ready to install tile and I was wanting opinions on how level I should try to get my floors before beginning.
Working with pre 1900s balloon framing with some pretty worn out tongue and groove sub floor. Main issue is an incorrectly done joist cut for the toilet plumbing. No double...
Yeah the 3D layout provided isn't quite to scale. The way the door is it would hit the toilet if it swung towards the corner. Also I was considering rotating the toilet 90* to the left which would make the moving from door to the shower a bit less cramped.
We had an odd half bath next to our two bedrooms. Was formerly a full bath where someone took out the tub and turned it into a closet. I took half of that space for a closet in an adjacent room. I plan to put in a pocket door, new toilet and vanity. I was considering putting in a 32"x 34" shower...
I did a search on the forum and didn't get anything so if this topic has been brought up before, point me in the right direction. Anyone have any reviews or thoughts on MasterCraft exterior doors that are sold at Menards?
That half wall is a later addition that isn't correctly fastened to the exterior foundation walls. That's also on the list of things to fix. Scary that this house was owned and remodeled by a "contractor" back in the 80s. I was going to leave the half wall open for storage after I put down a...
Thanks for the response. Would replacing the one broken 6x6, leaving the steel poles holding the load and then putting a 2x6 frame under that be a better option. Looking for a cost effective fix, but not afraid to spend a little extra money for a better option. I am looking at the framed wall...
I have a 120+ year old home that has a 6x6 timber for the main support holding up the 2x8 floor joists. The beam is made up of two 16' lengths that are supported every 8 feet with a 4 inch steel pole. Have a bow in one of the 8 foot spans that has a crack in the middle. Looking for ideas on a...
