Thank you so much! One more question if you can answer it. Assuming the porch and drywall cracks are not related, and the drywall was done poorly in general, is it "normal" for an old home to get new/longer drywall cracks, especially with the changing weather?

Thank you for not telling me I'm going to die! I'm trying to laugh as to not have another panic attack. A lot of things in this home were poorly done in general so yea. Also, to say we had a tough winter last year is an understatement. It was soooooo cold along with record snowfall.

The gap between the bottom of the home and where the porch is cracked is probably 4 inches.

I can't get the other pics to upload. The second pic is the crack in question. The first one is the other side of the porch, it has a crack as well but nothing like the bad one and in tact. Obviously where the crack occurred, there is a gap in between the porch and home (where the crack is)
