What are all the types of walls contractors would use to use finish basements?

I mean I still have a lot of drywall patch left enough to repairs. Still not sure if the sole plate is fastened to the floor because its tile flooring.

Yes I want to take down the walls to bring back the open concept and saving the drywalls for future basement remodelling.

Our basement used to be open concept, but the previous owner decided they wanted walls to make rooms for closet, bedroom, and small theatre. I included a picture of what it should look like inside the wall because I don't know how to explain it. I want to save the drywall and keep it further...

I got it done today! I ended up shattering the old plastic into pieces in order to unscrew the fasteners. The wires inside are still okay and also have been tested working. All I had to do is screw the wires to the new doorbell switch.

Are you suggesting to replace the wires too? I only want to replace the doorbell switch housing really.

I want to replace our doorbell switch. Is there any precautions I need to take before unscrewing and touching the wires. I don't want to get shocked or die :canadaflag:

I ended up using long screw as you guys suggested.

I think I'm gonna go with installing a laminate floor since per sq ft its cheaper.

I went to home depot today and saw that per sq ft of laminate flooring is much cheaper than vinyl flooring. Does anyone know why is that? I'm thinking the only reason could be is the underlayment and click & lock feature.
