I want to install a dimmer on a new LED light fixture. The dimmer has a ground wire, and this circuit is not grounded. Can/should I still use the dimmer and put a wire nut on the ground wire? I can install a GFCI on this circuit if that would help. Thanks, Neil

Thank you Bud, that's very helpful. I didn't realize that if I put a GFCI on the source of the Wiremold that it would be code compliant. It wasn't clear from the other poster that's what was meant. I don't want another ungrounded outlet, I just want it to be safe.

Yes, I already implied that I read the standard. (1) I'd be extending an old NMC circuit, not grounded. (2) The run will be much less than 25 feet. (3) I'll use non-metallic raceway. (4) It will be mostly behind a bed and not in a traffic area.
