So now I am at a total loss. Brand new controller board installed. Even if I have cool up to 80 on the thermostat and heat down to 60 (it's 68 here now) i get normal operation calling heat. I am at a total loss and would appreciate any questions or suggestions.
Posting again with different title because it has really gotten totally away from the original question.
Fan and AC work as expected but no heat on a 2001 Armstrong HVAC Model # PGE10B42D100A-3 with a Honeywell Lennox Armstrong Ducane Control Circuit Board 1097-502-I 1097-83-503A

"Is the furnace turned off at a wall switch?"
I had time to really diagnose it today. It's not turned off at the switch nor has a fuse blown. I even decided to update the Thermostat and get rid of the old mercury switch. I get the expected currents coming from the thermostat to the unit in each...
Ok, I guess I am at worse than square 1. The heat ran fine the last few times I needed it. Switched to AC not a problem for two months then major (Pump, Blower Fan and circuit board) repairs. AC good again. Didn’t even think about the heat until my mother told me this morning she tried to...
A manager got involved and sent me a list of parts for my heater. The wire was "hid" with a description of "Igniotor Wire". I ordered the part and got it in. Everythings back together and it works as it should. :banana:I calculate I saved myself about $500.00 doing it myself.

Maybe it's not as bad as I thought. I have been checking other parts sources and the Genuine Lennox Repair Part 48J67 Ignition Cable is strikingly similar to the 8MM Hi-Energy Silicone Suppression wire I am seeking: http://www.acfurnaceparts.com/48j67.aspx
I have an Email into them now to see if...
Got a reply from the internet source. They don't keep the part in stock but can get it. I think I will just order it.
Thanks to everyone for the posts.
No, it is a standard connector. On the end that did not break off it appears to have a black sheath around the "carbon Fiber" which allows the connector to crimp and hold but on the end that is broken off I can't seem to separate the black inner sheath from the white outer sheath. I am thinking...
Hi Wuzzat, Thanks for the information. That gives me a good technical explanation for why I should not replace the wire with anything but the same grade wire. Also, the idea for how to add a new connector sounds good. I may have to try that.
Hi Bud16415, Thanks for your post. Your assessment...
Thanks, I was thinking the same thing but I seem to remember them actually having stranded wires in them not this weird cloth like stuff.
I worry that using anything but that will cause issues but where to find the wire?
as Alice Cooper says: "It's the little things that drive me wild!"
I have an Armstron Heater/AC unit installed in 2002 ID S44275, Model PGE100B42D100A-3, Heat Pack Serial #1602J21397.
It first had an issue with the inducer fan coming loose from the housing. It was also rusted. I made a temporary repair to it and ordered the new fan and housing.
