    **missing**

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Daniel Glessner, a local father, is worried about his 14-year-old daughter after she ran away on Monday night. She's identified as Leighla Danielle Glessner but goes by the name Danielle. If you know anything that can help authorities call Crime Check at...

Wish I had a better place but...

I have found that chain stores have decent deals on some materials but more expensive with other materials. I would look for a discount or actual roofing and siding distributor.I can save 20%-30% on my siding by staying out of the chain stores.

    How to inspect/approve new roof?

I am completely confused as to how a tar drop could have made it into your home.I feel the installers are a complete liability to this company. It is obvious you put forth great effort in trying to secure the best contractor for the job.3rd generation is impressive. But then again sometimes...

    Buckling plywood underlay

Excellent question. 2"x6" rafters are solid.,Depending on length and on center width and bracing.Close enough and 3/8" and 7/16" would be fine.Wider would require 1/2" or 17/32". IMO a complete open overhanging/Carport structure is all the more reason for proper spacing.3/8",1/2" or 5/8" or...

L flashing used on new roof ok?

Agreed.,Reason,,,,Your structure is moving and fastening to the wall also complicates a repair and or reroof.A simple tear off can turn into a PITA when step is nailed to the wall. Step flashing is better IMO than continous hands down.I have always fastened the shingle into the step...

Is my ridge vent actually venting?

IMO that CoraVent is a junk product.Alot of times when the roll is used it is installed with a nail gun.Sometimes you have an installer that either is inexperienced or just don't care about setting the air pressure to insure a even and proper fastener seating. If the vent itself is applied...

    How to inspect/approve new roof?

IMO and I am sure many others would agree.,EVERY aspect of your project should have been explained in detail. Prior to the project being started.,well actually when the contract is signed a list of precautionary steps as customer awareness is reviewed by the contractor and the homeowner and...

    Roof Repair question

Great point ODNT.,maybe it might be a good idea to further this thread by saying and describing why you can roof in the winters.I am asked all the time about if I can roof in the winter. In an ideal situation I prefer 70's myself but at some point it is absolutely necessary to reroof in the...

    Roof advice

I am in no means trying to insult you.Your roof is NOT a DIY'r friendly roof.It is very steep and it is very dangerous for you to attempt any repairs yourself without knowledge of walking a steep roof. IMO you should call for a roof inspection from a professional. Many homeowners every year...
