    Transitions when staining concrete

Does the colored epoxy just make the floor look like painted concrete, or can it give the stained look as well. What about where to dogs used the floor as a bathroom. Will that effect the acid stain or paint? I really have nothing to lose but some time i guess which ever way i go. To many...

    Surround Tub/Shower

Hi All I am replacing the old tub in my rent house. Was considering using the 2-3 piece tub/shower surround kit. Are there any pro's or cons to this. This house has only 1 bath and then just a 1/2 bath, so thought keeping the tub would be good. Is the surround as good as going with a tub...

    Wasp problem..any tips?

An inexpensive way to kill the wasp is to mix some dishwashing detergent in a cup with some water, then around sunset when all are home, you just throw the mixture on the nest and it will kill the bees. An orgainc way to avoid using the sprays.

Need advice on a material to use for outdoors that is breathable yet private.

Hi Debbie G Not sure how wide the framing is, but one could use wood slats like you see in the bottom of some of the doors only placed vertical at a slight angle. I have replaced some slat in a door before, they are somewhat flexible since they are not too thick. Small wooden dowel pins could...

Vinyl or Tile over OSB subfloor

Hey Joe/others Thanks for the reply. On the flexible additive to the thin set, I guess this is something I can get at Lowes or Home Depot. I agree about covering both. I have actually heard some hallow spots in some friends tile. So with do both there on the floor and on the tile. If one...

Vinyl or Tile over OSB subfloor

Thanks for the reply guys. I should have said I laid the 3/8" OSB over already existing hardwood floors to try and improve the level of the floor. I was successful with doing some leveling from underneath, and where there is no floor at all I will go back with 3/4" like in the bathroom area...
