    Gravel walkway under clay soil

Thanks. It is better for the fabric to be more or less permeable for this application? Also, which 'grill' are you referring to?

    Gravel walkway under clay soil

Hello, I recently had the driveway done and I'm looking to put some gravel around it which will be used mainly for walking. The soil is clay (see pic) and it gets pretty muddy and messy under heavy rain. Considering that, can you provide advice on how gravel should be lay and or if something...

    Problems with new driveway (crack)

I just checked. the control cuts are 5/8" deep. On another section/slab of the driveway, there is a crack right across the whole control joint so I guess that means it did his job in preventing the slab cracking in the middle?

    Problems with new driveway (crack)

It was paid with a cheque as that is what most of the contractors accept without charging extra fees or at least that's been my experience. As far as the prep work done pre-pouring, they put gravel (maybe a inch? not sure) and compacted and this was done the very same way on all the driveway...

    Problems with new driveway (crack)

I may not have an alternative than repairing the crack cose in this rain and sub-zero temperatures the crack is definitely opening more. Problems with new driveway (crack)

If it's a shrinkage crack that could be caused by too much water in the mixture then I would think someone is at fault. (wrong/poor ratio of water) Even the old driveway that was 38yrs old had less amount of cracks/damage in this specific section of the driveway. Since I wrote this post, the...

    Problems with new driveway (crack)

Hello, Seeking advise and opinion here. In the end of Oct last year (2023) I had contractor building a new driveway with 4 inch of thickness. Now, after only 2.5 months, I'm already seeing a huge crack from end to end in the first section of the driveway. (the sections on the new driveway were...

    Powerwash siding (wood)

The house was built in 85. The painting overall looks good, probably painted in the last 3-4 years. The wood siding mostly likely is original.

    Powerwash siding (wood)

Hello, I see on the internet guides and videos on how to wash vinyl siding, how about painted wood siding? It is Ok to power wash at low pressure or this is not recommended at all? Thank you.

    Concrete/cement ratios

no mixer here. Gonna pour and mix on the ground. I just want to be sure I will end up with the correct mix ratio if I measure everything in buckets.
