    House circuit puzzle ???

I'm sure you've thought of this but could the circuits be labeled wrong? I almost shocked the crap out of myself when we first moved into our house because our circuits where not labeled properly.

    Basic Soldering of copper pipe

Thank you for the post Nestor, very informative. I definitely appreciate knowing why certain steps need to be taken and the science behind it.

    Small leak in compression fitting

Thanks Nestor, I like the idea of the coupling way better and will most likely go that route once I feel comfortable enough. Thanks for putting up the post about soldering as well, I really appreciate the insight.

    Small leak in compression fitting

Well I cut off the compression fitting and put in another one, tightened it up, and it's working fine. I did have a couple of questions for the future though. First, about the short pipe coming out of the back of my kitchen cabinet. I'm guessing if I cut out the back of the cabinet and the...

    Small leak in compression fitting

Nestor that sounds like great advice. I've read enough to know that you never put a compression joint inside a wall. I planned on getting a length of copper pipe and soldering away till I was confident enough to do it for real but there were a few issues. The pipe coming out of the wall is very...

    Small leak in compression fitting

Sounds like a plan. I made sure to leave a little extra length of pipe just in case I messed things up so I'll tighten it up and see how things go.

    Small leak in compression fitting

Hey everyone. My plumbing under my kitchen sink was super corroded and figured I'd sleep better at night knowing it was fixed so I set out to do my first plumbing job since I bought my house. I just finished replacing everything under the sink and it looks great. My only concern is one of the...

Garage door and concrete slab not matching up

Great news! My garage door opener wasn't really cutting it with the new, stronger, heavier door so I invested in a beefier garage door opener. I installed it today and with the new opener the rubber rail at the bottom of the door is compressing properly and the gap is completely sealed.

Garage door and concrete slab not matching up

Thanks Glenn. I like the hose idea, but would like to look into a little bit more professional look :). I'm going to look into some of the products available that are glued to the floor to help seal up the door, I'm thinking that may be enough to seal up the gap. I live near the coast and...

Garage door and concrete slab not matching up

I just had a new garage door put in and now the door and the slab don't match up so there's a big gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. It's not a gap underneath the door though. If you walked up to the closed door from inside and looked straight down you can see that the concrete...
