I am being told the reason the existing torch down (about 10 years old now) is starting to lift from the drip edge is because the existing drip edge is for hot mop applications. Apparently when the original hot mop roof was replaced with torch down, the original edging was left in place.
1. Is this true ?
2. Does a properly installed drip edge press against the fascia board or is there a small air gap (1/8-1/4") in addition to the angled lip of the drip edge ?
Thank you in advance for all feedback and insight.
David.
