Installing attic fan (options)

Hi there,

I'm looking into installing an attic fan on the roof to vent hot air in the summer times, so to hopefully help reduce somewhat of the AC bill.

In changing to run the compressor at the lower 991 CFM fan flow rate on cooling, I'm in a relatively dry climate thru'out the year, so hopefully...

For CFM and Fan speed:
The Heil model # is H9MVX060F12.

You're right there are 4 fan speeds. I read the install manual and it stated that the 'speed taps are set...

Instead of the wires stapled along the edge of the two 2x4 double top plates like they look now, we can

- first drill 7/8" size holes thru' the top plates at the needed...
