Staining nightmare - bathroom cabinets - UGLY

Personally, I would replace the wood back splash with a slightly taller vinyl one. Make sure you sand off the old caulking. If you want the cabinet lighter, sand it down and start over. Practice (even though sometimes annoying) does make perfect. Best of luck

    Buying a Router

I'm glad this topic came up. A router is the next tool I would like to purchase. You make the Porter Cable sound expensive. Where is it available, and is it cost prohibitive if you only want it for occasional use?

    Wind Energy

Don't you think all of these systems will become more cost effective as more people install? I can remember the inflated prices on micro wave ovens and VCRs when they came out. If we can believe Obama, the tax breaks and incentives are suppose to be in the works.

100 year old home - Time to get serious :)

Congratulations!! I know what you mean by feeling good about doing it yourself. I got my "major project" in the divorce. I thought I would rather have the half finished house than all the "toys". I now know how to apply vapor barrier, cedar siding, install kitchen cabinets, set toilets...

    Wind Energy

I have been to several forum sites asking about wind energy without results. I am looking for information on affordable systems (under $10,000). I would especially like to find a system that lends itself to do it yourself installation.
