    How to remove this countertop?

The clips are easy to remove. there is a slot in the bottom of them for a flat head screw driver. Just turn them until the clip is loose. If you have the room you could pull the sink attached to the counter. Either way you need to disconnect all the plumbing.

How to remove green paint on white trim

Are both paints new or just the green? If just the green is new, try using Goof-off and a rag, it will break down the new paint first. or you may have to repaint the white, you will have to do that if you sand it.

    Stringer-filler for stair remodel

I do not think you will find anything with that cut to it, you will have to make it with a router or use a peice of square stock and fill the gap with wood putty.

    Quarter round trim for outside?

I would use an adhesive caulk and maybe a few nails to keep it in place until the caulk dries

    Quarter round trim for outside?

Just a word of caution, if you are going to HD make sure it is cellular vinyl, they may carry some cheap foam stuff. I would use a real lumber yard if you can they will let you know what thier products are made of.

A/C fan runs, but I hear a clicking noise.

First thing is go to the outside unit and see if the fan is running, if not check the breakers, still not Call an A/C repairman, you need special tools to check any further.

$40K does sound cheap but it all depends on the area, what material is used and how desperate the contractors in the part of the country you in are.

Gadwall, that would also be a solution, I use Azek all the time, Great stuff, just think the plastic 1/4 round will be much easier and faster and will last along time.

    unusual light switches

Is the outlet half switched? another words does the switch control one of the plugs and the other one is always live? More than likely this is the case! To check this if you are not sure test the outlet with the switch off and then with the switch on! How this is wired is the power feeds into...

    Wall Touchup

First thing is paint take about 30 days to full cure, so the new area should blend over time if it is the same paint.
