The bottom it turned out wasnt screwed to floor like it should...very shoddy product... But to be fair it did have one good point...the fact it wasnt screwed in at bottom...

Removing a built in lazy Suzan from bottom corner cabinet

Our entire kitchen was done before we moved in almost 3 yrs ago. Our kitchen has a heavy black granite counter top (going up the entire back splash too) so there's a lot of weight I guess on the bottom cabinets. But the cabinets are those Hampton bay ones from Home Depot that they carry in...

    Space filler storage.

I don't think we can move the cooker as it would mean moving the microwave with vent that is above it as well. I'd just like to improve the storage without doing too much remodeling as eventually I'd like to add an extension and move the washing machine and dryer out to there. An then possibly...

    Space filler storage.

The people who lived here previously put in a Home Depot modular kitchen with black granite counter top and back splash. The flipper who took it on after they were foreclosed on. Admitted to my face that there was a much bigger $1200 gas cooker in there when it took it and that he put in a...

Callmevilla......believe me I would have had this done a while ago if I could have. Prob didn't help we moved in three days before our daughter was born. And we never caught up with the chaos. But we are on a time limit now. It needs to be done by August. So hopefully that lights a fire up our buts.

Thanks. I need to show this thread to my husband. I couldn't really tell you what or how the roof is or. Was done. I know the roof is a year or two old as they (flipper) re roofed it. But I could tell you if he did anything to the frame of the roof. I would guess if it would have cost more, then...

Thanks those pictures and explanations helped a lot. I think I better understand what an engineered truce is now. My husband (he's been up there, I'm too chicken you know what at the moment as the ladder we have frightens me and I have to watch our daughter) says the beams go from the from the...

We do have another space that technically we could investigate putting an access in. But I assumed it is impossible. The previous owners converted the side garage into a 3rd bed and bath. They raided the roof to match the height of the rest of the house. But didn't create another attic. Instead...

Thanks. Because I'm clueless about DIY (first house) an engineered truces is? The main support bearing beam? I'm not clued up the correct lingo.

We desperately need to be able to get into our attic and use it for added storage. And we need to get it done by August this year. Our current access is a tiny square in what is meant be my daughters walk in closet. But it's too small and almost blocked by the closets shelving and poles. I'm...
