We are having sump pump and interior drain tile put in. Is it OK to have sump basin perforated so that can catch water as well as the perforated pipes?

Quick question. Any recommendations on what to use to help seal out water trickles in basement floor through in areas where there are spidery hairline cracks; and also areas where larger holes for plumbing where patched with cement but edges are not completely water tight?

I had my sewer line from the house to the street replaced and since then I have been getting a large amount of rain and ground water in my basement and it seems to be following the sewer line. The water is coming in my basement up from the floor in the area where the sewer line enters the house...
