Thanks Havasu. Any advice on material to use? I have ready some scary stories about using concrete slabs. Cheers.

    DIY Grill Island

Hi All, I decided to take up on a Quarantine Project of building my own Grill Island. I am keeping it simple using Pavestones to put it together. I am aware of venting requirements for Propane tanks, but have a questions about Charcoal. My Island is 90 inches wide, with my drop-in gas grill...

    Garage Insulation - Thoughts

Definitely not enough space. Literally the design of the house so it shows at angles on top of garage. The door isnt insulated either, and I was thinking of putting basic insulation in that too. I just dont want to have a 40 degree difference between house and garage during winters.

Thoughts on Covering the Insulation on Ceiling

Thanks Guys. The basement is not heated, and honestly, I wasnt planning to do something to heat it up. I want to use it for a workout, and working out in the cold"er" basement was not an issue for me. Inspectors idea of canvas is good. Might have to do some digging in terms of cost. Although...

Thoughts on Covering the Insulation on Ceiling

Thanks Guys. Seems like sheet rock seems to be the recommendation. Might cost me a couple of hundred...but seems the safest way to go.

Thoughts on Covering the Insulation on Ceiling

Stupid question...does the Fiberglass Insulation with nothing on it pose a fire risk too? I know anything paper or cloth kind would be a fire risk...is the plastic cover also flammable?

Thoughts on Covering the Insulation on Ceiling

Hadnt even thought of that. Although with almost an 800 sqft basement...that might defy the cheap option :)

Thoughts on Covering the Insulation on Ceiling

Hi Everyone, Please bear with the Newbie, but I am looking forward to this forum for many discussions to follow. I am a new homeowner, and have a full unfinished basement. For conserving energy (my assumption), the builder has put fiber glass insulation on the basement ceiling, which of...
