    vapor barrier around windows

    I am installing batts with vapor barrier attatched. stuffing insulation around the windows has no paper on it. the widest is probably 2 inches. I am wondering if it is necessary to cover it with something? plastic which I have or what? can good tape work? or nothing at all? Thanks
