When painting interior w texture,how many coats do you put on?? Everytime I paint new drywall with texture,I prime and then paint. But for whatever reason the first coat always comes out uneven. Any suggestions??

I have been told to locate my GFI at the end of a run of outlets. That way all of them before it will be protected. But is there a limit to how many they can protect??

I ahve 2 of them . a shop vac and a ridgid.filters get plugged up real easy. any tips on how to vac drywall dust. Bags might be the way,but they are pricey

well if the guy installed the light when he did not have to or could have charged you for it and did it for free,then a tip might be in order. But tipping just because you did a job you were suppose to,well I say no. Tipping is so convoluted these days. never sure what to do

I have some rot where my cedar siding is contacting the concrete. apparently the previous owners added about 2" of comcrete over a previous 2". I intend to fix all the problems this summer. So how do keep the water from going into the cracks??metal flashing?

just regular orange peel out of a gun. i've done a couple where I primed first and them painted and uneven paint results. Seems that the texture sucks up the paint pretty good.this is what the instrution on the texture tub said.

Which is the correct way? do you prime first and then texture r texture first and prime over it??

I am getting to the step of insulating my office area. I have R11 with paper barrier. I want to make it as air tight as possible. Can I put plastic also over the insulation?? what are the ramifications if I did?? Thanks and happy thanks giving

My house was built in 1976. the "sheathing" is black fiberboard. I have heard some refer to it as sound board. I hate this stuff. Can anyone explain why it was used and when they started and stopped using it??
