I have a concrete foundation which was built in 2004. My wonderful builder did not give me any windows in the basement area; just a back door. I believe I need one (1) at least two (windows) on either side of the basement. Can you give me some suggestions on how to install a window or two (2) windows in the area?

Thanks,
Tonya

Tonya: this is an old thread, it's always better to start a new thread for a new question.
If the basement is unfinished it makes it easier to see what you have.
It is fairly easy to put a window in the wall that the floor joists are not landing on. Or pick a spot directly below another window to install one the same width or smaller.
Some of the questions that will need to be answered are.
1 Do you have windows above where you want to put the windows? How wide are they? and how wide do you want to install
2 Do the floor joists land on the wall you want to work with.
3 The roof above has eave troughs or is a gable end?
4 The new window will be in the wood portion of the wall or concrete or both?
5 Are you hoping to finish a bedroom in the basement?
6 If you are looking at a wood wall without a window above, look for extra studs that don't look like they have a purpose, they may indicate a load from above that would have to be dealt with.
Depending on the answers there will be more questions.
And welcome to the site.
