Hi,
We're attempting our first vinyl floor installation in a bathroom approximately 6'x6', and we've laid a plywood underlayment and nailed it down with ring-shank nails according to the underlayment manufacturer's specifications.
In order to fill the recesses and minor imperfections, we purchased Planipatch, but we had a hard time getting it to smooth out...there were areas that were higher (ridges of patch), so we sanded the entire surface. There were also still recessed areas, so we applied a second coat of patch. We fear that we may have put it on too thick even with the first coat, and the second coat may have made things worse.
We're looking for suggestions as to how best to proceed. Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Ted Cain :help:
