I just recently bought a house which came with a dishwasher that is pretty old. When I turn it on it makes an intermitent grinding noise, and after taking apart the bottom and taking a peak I'm pretty sure it's the impeller fan. The fan is definitely moving and the sound isn't super bad, just like it's off a bit or something. I'm a little worried about running a load as I have no idea what will happen. We'll probably replace the dishwasher sometime in the future, but would be nice to get by with this one for a little while. Any advice appreciated (I'm a diy nooby).
