Leaking Tub Spout

Hello, I am having trouble with my Symmons Temptrol bath system. When the shower is switched on a lot of water will come out (steady thick stream) of the spout continuously (this is not the normal drip you're normally supposed to experience). To make it more clearer it's coming OUT of the spout, NOT leaking around the back or anything. I replaced the diverter thinking it was that easy fix, yet the problem still persists. I dont know if it could be the valve seats (aka hot and cold seats) or what? Any input or thoughts would be great, thank you!

Other than asking that you checked for crap in the hole before you installed it. Others will be along with usable info, I hope.

Yes, no "crap" was in the hole, haha. I cleaned it and lubed up the O-ring.

Check at the Terry Love Plumbing forum; they will have answers.

I'm a Delta fan and a remodeller, not a plumber, but I do recall some issues with the Temptrol units (or my aging brain is wrong once again).
