We are house sitting for my aunt for the next six months and have noticed that the water pipes are especially noisy. The loud noises keep waking up my 10 month old in the middle of the night. It's hard enough keeping a baby down for a few hours as it is. What can I do to stop the noise?

You can try to anchor your pipes against the wall's surface. You might need to tighten the claps from becoming loose over time. Another suggestion is to try to wrap cushions around the pipes.

Since it happens in the middle of the night, you probably aren't using the plumbing. Does the house have hot water heating? Sounds like air in the pipes.
