Just back from a project in Charleston, South Carolina ... House dates from late 1700's and was improved in the 1800's. On this go-around, every room was gutted except for the stunning original architectural features. I got to do my part ... but the entire project is a year-long effort.
First pic is the side of an original, hand built, exterior shutter. The carpenter numbered them using a chisel and Roman numerals.
The next pics are the ceiling crown ... all original plaster ... 20" in size. The detail is astonishing, so is the craftsmanship.
