HI
We design, build and finish reclaimed barn wood furniture, mainly using tung oil and milk paint. I have a question regarding tung oil
I have a 1" table top that is not taking the tung oil evently, the knots in the wood and the darker spots on the boards are dull. I have put 5 coats of tung oil the table lightly steel wool between each coat. It has dryed for week now, do you think it would be ok to put a coat of varnish over the tung oil so I can get a nice EVEN finish?
Thank You
