I have an American Standard Heritage 14 heat pump / AC (2 ton). I also have an Armstrong Ultra SX 80 (80% efficiency) gas furnace. What are the correct honeywell system stettings for this setup per this PDF? I believe it's option 7, but when I use this I have issues. Emergency heat and cooling work, but the regular heat setting causes the heat pump to strangely cycle on and off (repeatedly) and it fails to warm the house. Therefore, I have to use the Em Heat setting which operates the gas furnace only.
I tried option 1 for just an AC unit with a gas furnace, but when I turn on the cooling the furnace makes a really loud noise (as if a fan is ramped up all the way).
Here is the PDF: Page 54

I'm using 170 option 7 for "Heat pump: Heat pump with backup or auxiliary heating."
180 not visible in menu
190 option 0 "Use this setting if you connected a wire labeled “O” to the O/B terminal"
240 not visible in menu
250 option 5 "Gas or oil furnace: Standard gas/oil furnace (less than 90% efficiency)"
Thanks
1 Heat/cool: Gas, oil or electric heating with central air conditioning.
2 Heat pump: Heat pump without backup or auxiliary heat.
4 Heat only with fan: Gas, oil or electric heat without central air
conditioning.
5 Heat only (no fan): Gas, oil or hot water heat without central air
conditioning.
6 Cool only: Central air conditioning only.
7 Heat pump: Heat pump with backup or auxiliary heating.
8 Heat/Cool Multiple stages: 2 heat stages (wires on W and W2), 2
cooling stages (wires on Y and Y2).
9 Heat/Cool Multiple stages: 2 heat stages (wires on W and W2), 1
cooling stage (wire on Y).
10 Heat/Cool Multiple stages: 1 heat stage (wire on W), 2 cooling stages
