I need a electrician's opinion.

You guys have rules and things I know nothing about.

see the wood block, it has 2 bolts that are 120 volt each.[240]

is it ok to use wood? any safety issue?

it is a 220 element control box for a big crawfish pot

still working on it, potencitometer is ordered, 240 on/of switch, and volt/amp meter. back ordered

the bolts in the close up are where the 30 amp wire from the element connects to the box

the other is a 120 hot leg and the common to give me 120 for the ssr cooling fan

I would be concerned with the low heat resistance of the wood.

just talked to a buddy, he is donating a 2''x2'' solid pvc.. that will look better and be better
