Hello all,

We have a faucet in our kitchen whose parts are quite loose at the base. I am wondering if soldering this would be an easy solution? The sink works absolutely fine, it's just the fixture that is loose. Would there be any issue doing this as a fix?

Hopefully this isn't too vague. Thanks!

Does that have to do with tightening the washer under the basin? I tried this, but it's also loose against the ceramic at the top.

If your faucet is a single lever then there should be a metal washer between the nut and the neopreme washer against the sink.

You should not run out of threds.

I would not consider soldering it. At some point, it will have to be changed, whether from age or fashion, and soldering would mean the sink is kaput also.
