I have a GFCI in my bathroom that has an "open neutral" according to the tester. However, only the top port (correct term?) has that error, if i apply horizontal pressure to the right side it reads "correct wiring", and both ports work (meaning a lamp plugged into either still turns on).

I'm wondering if maybe the GFCI is just bad? I was thinking of replacing it with one that has a built in night-light.

Looks like your outlet is wired ok. Something inside isn’t making contact unless you put some pressure on it. If your tester works fine everyplace else and you want a new outlet anyways I would say go for it and change it.

Looks like the contact inside the lower half of the receptacle is not making contact with the tester prong.
