The hubby and I bought a "fixer upper" last year, which suffers from lack of upkeep and 110 years of frost heave. He's a trucker that loves doing projects in and on the house, where I would love to find that unlimited credit card that never needs to be paid off so everything could be done right away. So far we've replaced the leaking oil furnace with a new gas furnace, but still have the original coal heating stove. We've decorated one bedroom for our daughter, since it didn't need much of anything in the way of renovations. We've closed in and insulated the front veranda so far, but there's still floor leveling and laying as well as rewiring to be done in there. Other than that, Mr Sledge Hammer and Mr Reciprocating Saw made a lot of work for Mrs Dustpan and Mrs ShopVac while taking out a wall and closet near the stairwell so that we could get furniture upstairs. The bathroom has a temporary shower now rather than the kitchen taps that were in the original claw foot tub (which the previous owners hacked at).

We look forward to being active members on here.
