Is there a secret to replacing the filter cartridges in the blue canisters depicted in the picture? I'm only asking because I am on a bore well. We have had a LOT of rain the last few weeks. Our water has gotten tinged before but, it has been a long time. When it happened this time, I replaced the cartridges a few days ago (they had only been in a few months) and the water does not look any better. One of the canisters has a 5 micron filter and the other is a 1 micron. Both installed according to the company specs.
It seems installing the cartridges is as simple as removing the old ones and popping in the new ones. I'm assuming that once they are screwed in tight that the filters seal themselves in the bottom and the top of the cartridge.
Am I missing anything here?
