We were given a Rival Electrical Skillet model number S16RB by some relatives and found that if you need to have the temperature up to 400 degrees to cook something it will shut itself off. Turning it down to 250 degrees and it will stay on and of course cook your item very much slower. Is there a reason it does this? I posted this question on the site called FixYa and haven't had anybody even guess at the cause.no more posting there .
