In Canada it's Rememberence Day. We honer those that serve and have served but mostly it's about thinking about those who didn't come home.

My Brother, Thank you for your service. you are not forgotten
I had the honor, of receiving his head stone from the Va
and installed it. It was a heavy rascal. A song went thru my head as I was putting in the stone
it made me laugh, then cry
I will share it with you. as a tribute to my Brother

Veterans Day is to honor those who served and made it back, even if injured in some manner.
Memorial Day is when we honor those who paid the ultimate price in defense of freedom and liberty.
Today, I honor all those who (like me) served with honor and came home intact ...
