I have a TempStar furnace with Honeywell sv9500m-2682 smart valve.

I replaced my igniter a couple years ago and had some of the typical problems where it would click and not ignite until moving the molex connector where the igniter connects to the smartvalve.

I now have a new problem. The pilot ignites no problem. The inductor motor comes on and I tested that the switch closes when it comes on. After a while the blower comes on, but the burners never ignite.

Can anyone tell me how I can test the smartvalve or what else I can test to determine what has gone wrong?

Not familiar with a smart valve , but are you getting a 24 VAC " command " to bring on the gas valve ?

Do you have a schematic / wiring diagram ?

If so , try to take a high resolution photo of it and post the photo .

God bless

The Honeywell calls their solenoid controlled gas valves and control board a smart valve.

I replaced the smart valve with the superseded version and the furnace fired up just like new.
