Hello all. I added an outlet off of another one to put behind my tv. At times when dishwasher comes on or sometimes when heat comes on there is static on the tv for a bit. Any ideas on cause? Thank you.
 
At first glance, the Tv must be on the same circuit as the dishwasher. It is also possible that the cable for the TV runs parallel to -and next to- the wire for that circuit. There can be electrical interference (crosstalk) from AC wires. More info would be required to narrow down the possibilities.
 
Ok ty I will double check. The cable might be close to where I put the outlet.
