Husband was running his air compressor through a heavy duty drop cord from outside receptacle and it just stopped but no breaker tripped. His shop light won't work thru the dtop cord either. We've never had this happen before.
Then he tried a different drop cord and it doesn't work either. However, when the light is plugged directly into the receptacle it works fine. We plugged the drop cord into an indoor receptacle thru a window and air compressor works like a charm.
Any ideas what happened?
