Hi everyone. I am thinking about adding a bedroom in my basement and I would need to add a window. I currently have 3 windows on the side of the house I would need to add a window too. My question is, is there code to how many windows you are allowed to have on a side of a house? If so being that I live in Vancouver Canada does anyone know exactly what that may be?

I don't know about Canada, but when I wanted to install windows in a room in California, it was necessary to hire a consultant to perform energy calculations which determined it.

Shouldn't be a problem but to stay out of trouble plan your window to be same size and in line with the window above. There is a min. egrees size.
Staying in line keeps you out of trouble with bearing loads that may not be easy to see.
