I replaced all my windows a year ago. I am now noticing that the top third of decorative interior wood molding appears to be slightly separating from the wall. It is a very small "crack" which just may be noticeable because the paint or caulk has cracked from the slight movement.
I have a couple questions;
Can I "repair" this by recaulking or do I need to somehow nail or reattach the molding to the drywall, and
Could this be an installation error? I doubt that it is a "coincidence" but the house has had settling issues in the past few years. Is it possible to tell?
