So I refinished my deck yesterday. The day prior I power washed it and yesterday morning I sanded it down a little with a random orbital hand sander. Thing is I neglected to wear a mask. It was my first time doing it and though I probably still should have known better, I didn't think to wear one. It wasn't windy and the dust didn't feel like it was getting up in the air. I figure I sanded for about an hour, the deck is around 400 sq feet. I feel fine the next day but while reading a few things last night I found out that it's a bad idea to sand anything without a mask. Next time I do such a project I'm going to wear a mask for sure. Just wondering long term if there is anything to worry about from one time? What do you experts think?
