Hi,

I'm looking to replace the cover of the A/C opening with the proper material. When I bought the condo it had some type of insulation cover. The cover was about 3/4" thick and it didnt bend, on one side it was white to match the white ceiling ( I threw it away because it was the original from the 70s and it was yellow already).

I went to Home Depot, and they didn't have anything similar, so temporarily I used a thin board. Which in a couple of weeks it started to bend.

Please let me know where can I get this type of foam boar / insulation or the type of name it goes by?

also, whats the the name of those type of A/C that are mounted in the ceiling like mines?

Thanks,

If you frame the back side of those thin boards with 1x2 or something similar, they won't sag like that. Probably have to start with new boards as those may have already taken that shape permanently. You can insulate the back side also.
