My old bathroom heater/light/vent burned out so I took it down and bought a replacement. I'm all set to install when I realize that this unit requires attic access to secure to the joists. The problem is that I don't have attic access there. So I'm trying to find a solution or a unit that installs completely from underneath, without getting into the attic space above. Any suggestions would be fantastic

What "burned out"?
Most could have been repaired from below the ceiling.

If you take out the "guts" of the new one, you should be able to drive a couple of screws through the sides (holes may already be provided) into a joist. Then reassemble the insides.

This pretty much covers it: [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_VzcZmr0Hw[/ame]
