I just bought a condo in which the AC closet is really worn out.
The base where the AC handler is set on and most of the wood is splintered and flaking. The wood integrity seems fine but I'd like to give it a new appearance without removing the handler.
I can get at the sides, but under the handler barely.
What product and procedure would you recommend. I say an AC guy who replaced my unit in a similar condo just resurface with mastic (I think), or AC putty.
