I posted this in the general forum but thought it might get seen here quicker.

I'm looking at a new house in Iowathat has a jet tub installed on an exterior wall. There is insulation in the wall, but no vapor barrior. The insulation installed has no kraft facing, and there is Tyvek wrap on the outside of the house.

Should a vapor barrier of some type cover the studs and insulation under/behind the tub?

Thanks,
Marc

Welcome Marc:
Yes, generally we would want a vapor barrier in that location and any outside wall but I don't think it will pose a serious problem.
